Global Athlete is dedicated to listening to the voices of athletes to learn and understand the landscape of world sport and the experience of athletes today. Through research and surveys, we aim to identify the real needs of athletes in order to collectively address the imbalance of power between athletes and administrators.
Canadian Safe Sport Think Tank Report
In December 2023, Global Athlete and Gymnasts for Change Canada released the Canadian Safe Sport Think Tank Report following a think tank that gathered a cross-section of Canadian sports people to collectively address the country’s sporting crisis. Olympic and National Team athletes, advocates, survivors, sports administrators, coaches, and scholars engaged in a comprehensive examination of the Canadian sport system and collaborated to identify a pathway for its recovery and reconstruction.

Global Athlete in partnership with Ryerson University and the Ted Rogers School of Management, produced a study on Olympic commercialization and player compensation.
