Three-time Olympic medallist and Australian basketball great Rachael Sporn (OAM) has been appointed as the sixth member of the Start-Up Group for the Athlete-led Movement for change, Global Athlete.

Rachael, a three-time Olympian, will continue to enhance the Australian voice of Athletes’ on the global stage as it looks to inspire and drive positive change across the world of sport.

Olympics - Athlete body says NOCs should lead on sponsorship freedom

LONDON (Reuters) - National Olympic Committees should take the lead in helping athletes win more freedom to promote their personal sponsors during Games, the head of the Global Athlete movement said on Monday.

Rule 40 of the Olympic charter states that participants in the Olympic Games cannot allow their "person, name, picture or sports performances to be used for advertising purposes during the Olympic Games."
