4 February 2020: We are pleased that Mr. Richard McLaren has been appointed to lead an independent investigation into the allegations made in the ARD documentary “Secret Doping—The Lord of the Lifters”.

We implore Mr. Tamás Aján and his associates to respect the decision made by the Executive Board to elect Mrs. Ursula Garza Papandrea to act as IWF President during this time and to refrain from interfering with the investigation in any way.
